Chad Soleo Appointed Interim CEO of Green Dot Public Schools National

My own experience and privilege is not sufficient to grant me the perspective that those we serve demand of each of us, and I will continue to rely on the excellent professionals in our schools and throughout our organization to help me. Soleo was the founding Principal at award-winning Ánimo Pat Brown Charter High School, named one of the best performing high schools nationwide by U.S. News & World Report, before becoming an area superintendent who supported many of Green Dot’s schools in LA. He led the establishment of Green Dot’s successful, and spun off, school in New York City, and has directly overseen development, communications, and community engagement work for the last several years. “I believe that as we navigate this transition, Chad is the right leader to guide Green Dot National. In selecting Chad, we are committing to a stable and familiar leader for the organization, and the entire Board is confident in his leadership,” said Marlene Canter, Chair of the National Board of Directors. “I would like to extend my thanks to Chad for his ongoing leadership and particularly for assuming new responsibilities throughout this period of transition,” she concluded.
