Latest Update on COVID-19

Throughout the world, we are facing unprecedented challenges arising from COVID-19. The decision to temporarily close schools is always difficult. The health and safety of our communities is of the utmost importance to us, to that end, this month we made the difficult decision to close our schools across our network.

As we navigate our way through this unprecedented time in our country’s history, it’s important that we all take care of ourselves and those close to us. We are grateful for the support and understanding as the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve quickly – in the cities we serve and across the globe. Although the measures we have implemented throughout our network, as well as those being implemented across the county, are disruptive, they help us ensure the safety of students, families and staff, as well as the broader community. Our commitment to those we serve continues in these times of uncertainty, we will continue to provide updates as things progress.

This week, we began distributing breakfast and lunch to students, families and community members. We are grateful for our school administrators, home office staff, and food vendors who have been out on the front lines ensuring that we can provide for families in need during this difficult time.

We plan to serve meals through the month, and we have begun merging food distribution locations based on the number of meals served each day.

We will continue to share more resources for families on our websites, including mental health resources, social services resources, and additional academic resources.
