- The 2021-22 school year may resemble a pre-pandemic “normal” after a series of recent announcements from districts across the country such as:
- LAUSD announced that there will hopefully be all-day, in-person instruction in the fall. This announcement comes after all LAUSD schools opened this week in some capacity. (LA Daily News, LA Sentinel, LAist, LA School Report)
- Shelby County Schools took reopening one step further and removed their mask mandate policy for the fall. (CBS 42, WBRC, WMC Action 5, Commercial Appeal)
- Austin Beutner will step down as LAUSD Superintendent when his contract expires June 30th. (CBS LA, Daily News, LA Times, EdSource, Fox LA)
