You can earn up to 10 years of credit for credentialed Principal experience outside of Green Dot.
The highest possible starting salary for an external Principal is $164,193 (Year 11 on Salary Scale).
How Credential Status Affects Your Credit
Full Credit (1:1):
You’ll receive one year of credit for each year you served as a Principal while holding a valid K–12 administrative credential/license in a public or private school.
International experience may qualify if the credential is proven equivalent.
Partial Credit (1:2):
If you worked as a Principal before earning your administrative credential/license, those years count at a 1:2 rate – two years of experience = one year of credit (up to 5 years of total credit).
