Academics
Ánimo Venice Charter High School is dedicated to providing big opportunities, personalized support, and limitless futures. We offer 10 Advanced Placement courses, including Precalculus, Biology, Statistics, English Language, English Literature, Government, Spanish Language, Studio Art Drawing, World History, and U.S History. Our electives include Advanced Journalism, College Readiness, Drawing & Painting, and Ethnic Studies, inviting students to explore a vast range of subjects.
College-Going Culture
Ánimo Venice Charter High School is all about supporting students’ big dreams, which is why we nurture a college-going culture. Students can get a head start on their college and career goals through our dual enrollment partnership with West L.A. College. College classes are taught by West L.A. professors on our campus during the regular school day. Our scholars can earn real college credits that are UC and Cal State transferable.
Campus Life
Our school is a tight-knit community where students can excel and reach their full potential. We offer over 12 clubs as well as an after-school program through ARC.
At Ánimo Venice, graduation isn’t the only thing exciting about entering your senior year. Each year we take a senior Europe trip during Spring Break, exposing our students to new cultures and unforgettable experiences.

We know that every student is unique and want them to find their place at Ánimo Venice. Alongside AP Studio Art Drawing and out Drawing & Painting elective, Ánimo Venice has a Creative Writing Club and DIY Art & Nutrition Club. We encourage all of our students to find their passion.
athletics
Pirate Pride! Students can compete in the Ocean League on our current sports teams including volleyball, golf, basketball, soccer, baseball, and softball.
Community
We view our parents and guardians as equal partners in providing children with meaningful educational experiences. This year, we were honored to become a California Community Schools Grant Winner, allowing us to connect our families to partners and programs that support their needs.
