Our Team

Ánimo Jackie Robinson isn’t just another charter high school. It’s a tight-knit community with a college-going culture and high-quality instruction. Our campus is a launchpad for success where students have access to individualized academic support. Academic coaching, college planning, social-emotional support systems, and career discovery are all part of the Green Dot model that Ánimo Jackie Robinson offers to all students. Family workshops, after school programs and athletics are at the heart of our school community.

Ánimo Jackie Robinson opened in 2006 as a response to the academic and socioemotional needs of our community. We connect students with academic opportunities, such as dual enrollment, which gives young scholars the opportunity to take college courses in high school. Throughout our brief history, we’ve been able to establish an authentic, family environment, where students and adults feel a sense of belonging. 

Our courses meet the A-G requirements for the California State University/University of California college systems. We also provide a comprehensive Special Education program and substantial intervention program for students with disabilities. We pride ourselves on the fact that we successfully established a safe, nurturing, and challenging academic environment for all students and know our young scholars will go on to do great things after their time with us.

As Principal of Ánimo Jackie Robinson for more than ten years, I am both proud and humbled by the accomplishments of our students and teachers. I encourage anyone to come and visit our school, get to know our community and join the family.
