Signing Day at Hillcrest High School Celebrates Five Students
FOX13 covers Signing Day at Hillcrest on February 7, 2018
Hillcrest High School had the honor of hosting a National Signing Day event for five senior football players, who signed letters of intent to attend universities across the country– making them the second largest signing class in Memphis. Hillcrest’s Signing Day is a prime example of how committed our school, students, and families are to the mission of preparing students for college, leadership, and life. We are proud of Coach Lorenzo Barnes and of our students for all of their hard work. We’re also grateful for the universities that have provided our students the opportunity to not only play football, but also to get a free college education.
Javonte Garrett and Jaylyn Rogers (Defensive Tackles) have committed to the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado, where they both plan on studying engineering.
Kristof Smith has committed to Livingston College in Salisbury, NC to play as a Defensive Back.
Kenneth Harvey will attend Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, MN to play as a Defensive Back.
Paul Todd has committed to University of Arkansas Pine Bluff in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to play as a Wide Receiver. He has not yet decided what he plans to study.
