Green Dot Public Schools TN believes in acknowledging talented individuals and rewarding their efforts with praise and promotion. Our goal as an organization is to provide every opportunity for Green Dot employees to grow their DOT. We are excited to name Jasmine Jackson the new Director of Academics beginning July 1, 2022. Jasmine is no stranger to GDPST, serving as a teacher, teacher leader, and instructional coach and we can’t wait to move the academic mission forward with her leading the way.
Meet Jasmine: Jasmine Jackson is a native Memphian who joined GDPST in 2016. Prior to joining GDPST, Jasmine taught Reading and ELA for grades 5-8 for three years. During her time as an English Teacher at Wooddale Middle School, she continuously honed her craft by serving in various teacher leader roles such as Advisory Lead, Summer School Coordinator, Professional Development Lead Teacher, and Curriculum Lead Teacher. This led to her advancement into the role of ELA Curriculum Specialist (6-12). Jasmine is a devoted educator who drives the GDPST mission by remaining an advocate for innovative and equitable instructional practices that create a space for all students to thrive and enjoy the learning process.
