Hello Green Dot Community, I am pleased to share that Jocquell Rodgers will be assuming the role of Executive Director of Green Dot Public Schools Tennessee beginning on July 1, 2022. In 2013, I moved from Los Angeles to Memphis to begin the work of expanding our mission nationally. For the past eight years, I’ve served in the dual role of ‘Interim’ Executive Director of Tennessee and Chief Growth Officer for Green Dot National. I’ve grown to love Memphis and the communities we serve. I’m grateful to the amazing team of educators who’ve joined us in this important work and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished during our formative years. As I transition to one title, Chief Growth Officer, I will continue to live in Memphis and support the efforts of the Green Dot Tennessee team. Jocquell Rodgers is the right person to lead this work. She is a founding team member of GDPST, having worked as a Curriculum Coach, Director of Community Engagement and Communications, and a Chief External Affairs Officer. Jocquell is a lifelong educator with deep ties to the Memphis community. She’s earned the trust of our leaders, families, and our community partners. And perhaps most important, she is a fierce believer in our mission to prepare all students for success in college, leadership, and life. Please join me in congratulating Jocquell Rodgers on this new adventure. In the coming weeks, we will share opportunities for you to meet Jocquell and learn more about our plans for the future.
