Green Dot Class of 2020 Demonstrates Outstanding A-G Graduation Rates
76% of 2020 graduates earned A-G credits, a 12% increase from the year prior

January 27, 2021, Los Angeles, CA -- Across the city, the 2020 graduates at high schools in the Green Dot network achieved an impressive 76% College-Ready (A-G) cohort graduation rate. This is a 12% increase from Green Dot’s 2019 class and for context, LAUSD’s 2020 A-G cohort graduation rate was 46%. Green Dot is known for its college preparatory program, and A-G credits are required to matriculate to a University of California or California State University.

“This senior year was significantly disrupted by the pandemic, and we are so inspired by our students and teachers for persevering,” says Dr. Cristina de Jesus, President & CEO of Green Dot Public Schools California. “To outpace local districts and statewide rates in nearly all subgroups is a feat that we are very proud of.”

Green Dot’s A-G graduation rate is higher than Los Angeles Unified School District, Inglewood Unified School District, Beverly Hills Unified School District, Santa Monica/Malibu USD, and California.
