State of Tennessee’s Vote of Confidence in Green Dot is a Victory for Students

October 13, 2016, MEMPHIS — In response to today’s vote to authorize Green Dot Public Schools’ charter for a new high school in the Hickory Hill neighborhood, Dr. Megan Quaile, Executive Director of Green Dot Public Schools Tennessee, issued the following statement:

“The State Board of Education decision today excites us.  We’re thankful and encouraged that the Board acknowledged the early promising results at Fairley High – our first transformation school in Memphis.  Further, we are excited to bring Green Dot’s 16-year track record of running high performing charter high schools to this community.  We look forward to working with the Tennessee State Board of Education and the Hickory Hill community to build a great high school option for our families.”
