The competition is an opportunity to motivate, recognize, and celebrate our strong student voices through writing, spoken word, and art.<\/i><\/p>\n\t<h2>Mi Lindo Veracruz<\/h2>\n\tVeracruz, where my dad is from,<br \/>\nThe unbearable heat,<br \/>\nPuerto de Veracruz, where the ocean meets the sun<br \/>\nWhat a treat!\nMy grandma can speak dialect, very awesome and rare<br \/>\nNot many can do it<br \/>\nNot many will care\nAnother great thing of this beautiful scene,<br \/>\nThe ripe, juicy, sweet, fruits<br \/>\nAnd all the green\nLa comida<br \/>\nLas delicias del mar<br \/>\nY tamales, tlayudas, carne chinameca,<br \/>\nUnas de muchas comidas que podria mencionar\nMarimba, the instrument played with their hands,<br \/>\nMusic, beautiful and tuneful<br \/>\nSon Jarocho, the dance of these lands<br \/>\nLively, energetic, and joyful\nMany artists and singers come from there,<br \/>\nRich talent, inspired by their culture,<br \/>\nA joy they were happy to share\nThis is where my Dad is from,<br \/>\nVeracruz,<br \/>\nMi Lindo Veracruz\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/blog.greendot.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2024\/05\/Guadalupe-Cauich-thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"Guadalupe-Cauich-thumbnail\" title=\"Guadalupe-Cauich-thumbnail\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/>\n\t<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guadalupe Cauich<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>6th Grade, <a href=\"https:\/\/ca.greendot.org\/taylor\/\">\u00c1nimo James B.
