Green Dot Public Schools California’s Holds Annual Student Art and Writing Competition

This year’s prompt: ‘Facing Truth, Finding Hope’

 

April 16, 2021 (LOS ANGELES, CA) -- Green Dot Public Schools California recently concluded the Ánimo Voices Writing and Art Competition, an annual student writing and art competition amongst students at Green Dot CA 19 schools. Supported by several donors, the goal is to celebrate and promote creative skill building and artistic development. The 2021 prompt was to create art or writing that explored finding hope in difficult times.

“We are so impressed by our students every year,” says Leona Matthews, Senior Director of Literacy and ELD Programs for Green Dot California. “We are grateful to our donors, teachers, Literacy team, and home office volunteers that make this annual event possible. It is inspiring for students and adults alike.”

 

Art prizes include college scholarship money, iPad Air and pencil, and art supplies. Writing prizes include college scholarship money, iPad Airs, and Kindle Fire Tablets.
